St. John Chrisostom explains that the star was not a real star (see the 6th homily on the Gospel according to Matthew), but more a shape taken by the Light of God (and, we can add, the Holy Ghost took the shape of a dove or of the tongues of fire) – the uncreated Light who brought the astrolatres (the star worshipers) from theirs deception to the worship of the Unic and True God, the Creator of the stars and the Universe.
It was like the red pill who brought Neo out of the Matrix or like a bait on a hook for the lost fish (or sheep). We all need this in order to leave the spiritual deception and misunderstandings of the Truth, and be enlightened by the Father of Lights! But for this, we need humbleness, not stubbornness and vanity!
The astrology is condamned by the Holy Scriptures and the Church trough his enlightened Holy Fathers.
God created us as free persons, with free will, and we can collaborate with Him in order to come and unify to His Divine Light in the Holy Ghost, through the Son, using the Holy Sacraments in the One True Church, fasting, praying, making the holy good deeds. This is the way in which God speaks the Truth into the hearts of his believers. Not through the stars.
We are not remote controlled by the stars. Not even by God! Stop this enslaved neopaganistic or determinist materialistic thinking (which is also against the science)!
Please, do not let yourself be deceived!
Come to the Light of Christ as the Magi did!

PS: the zodiacal signs from some Christian Church art symbolise the sky, the cosmos or Universe and the cycle of liturgical time. It does not symbolise the astrology, but the science of astronomy. The Holy Scriptures read that God put the asters for the dominance of the times. That is why even the main Christian feast, the Easter, the Resurrection – but also the Nativity – are linked to the moon and, even moore, with the solar cycle.
